We left a sentry on duty but returned a week later to find him facedown in the yard. Maybe we'll get a chance to make a more stable snowman before Spring.
I tried to get a picture of the pirate ship sailing into port with cannonfire and all, but as you can see a great horde of folk faster than I had the same idea. Gasparilla really was a lot of fun and ranks in the single digits on my list of people-watching venues so far.
After the pirate ship defeated the Rough Riders and docked, the crowd lit out to find parade-watching spots. Here is the dread pirate Victerrible with her beads.
There was a frost warning for the night before we visited Disneyworld and the morning was a little chilly. Maybe that's what kept the crowds away, but the weather was perfect for walking around. We had a great day--Victoria and I were even in one of the parades. We did a hula hoop routine down Main Street. The routine did not involve spinning the hoop around any body parts, which disappointed Victoria. I was the opposite of disappointed.
Victoria was eager to prove that she is no longer afraid of characters, although she did ask Brian to stand with her. We don't know who this duck is; we think she may be from Chicken Little.
Princess Kitty, of course.
After Belle's story time, sans parent. A very big deal, believe me!
A couple of days after Disneyworld, we let Brian hang with his work buddies while we checked out Busch Gardens. We spent a good quarter of our time in The Land of the Dragons, which is designed for little kids.
